Metaroom prioritizes data privacy and complies with GDPR regulations by automatically blurring faces in scanned spaces. Using advanced machine learning algorithms, the Metaroom Scan App identifies and blurs faces by default, protecting the identities of individuals present during scanning.
Please keep in mind: face blurring applies only to detected faces, not other sensitive information. Sensitive data in the space (e.g., documents or computer screens) should be removed or hidden before scanning. Although scanned data is securely stored in Metaroom’s cloud and accessible only through the user’s account, it is the user’s responsibility to ensure no sensitive information is present in the scanned environment.
We also recommend obtaining permission before scanning critical infrastructure or restricted areas where photography or videography is prohibited to prevent potential security issues.
Automatic face blurring is a built-in feature of the Metaroom Scan App and is included for all users, regardless of the subscription plan.
