Once you have successfully completed a scan with the Metaroom Scan App, your scanned data is automatically sent to our reconstruction pipeline. When the reconstruction is complete, you will have full access to your 3D room model or 2D floor plans on the Metaroom Platform.
How Long Does It Take to Reconstruct My Scanned Space?
The reconstruction time depends on the size of the scanned space. Reconstructing a single room typically takes between 1 to 5 minutes. Reconstruction may take up to 30 minutes or more for multi-room or larger spaces.
Can I Be Notified When Reconstruction Is Complete?
Yes, you have two ways to receive notifications about the successful reconstruction of your 3D model:
- You can track the progress of reconstruction on the main page of the Metaroom Scan App.
- You can receive an email notification when your scanned space is reconstructed and ready for use.
How to Enable or Disable Reconstruction Email Notifications?
By default, you will receive an email notification when the reconstruction of your scan is complete. If you would like to disable these notifications, follow these steps:
- Log in to your Metaroom account.
- Go to “User Profile.”
- You will be automatically redirected to your settings console.
- Select the “Personal Info” tab. Here, you can set your preference for “Receive email when 3D Model is completed”:
- Choose “Yes” if you want to continue receiving email notifications for scan reconstructions.
- Choose “No” if you want to stop receiving these notifications.
Will I Be Notified If Reconstruction Fails?
In rare cases, reconstruction may fail in the pipeline. This is nothing to worry about—your scanned data is saved, and our team will investigate the issue.
There are two ways to be informed if reconstruction fails:
- The failed reconstruction will be indicated in the app next to the scanned project.
- You will receive an email from our team, who will already be working to resolve the issue.
Please note that resolving the issue usually takes at least 48 hours. We will notify you as soon as the problem is resolved and your scan has been successfully reconstructed.
